Oats and flax seed granola bar

Dry-ingredients :                                                                                                                                          
                         3cups rolled oats-230gms.                                                                                                                                             
                        1/2cup flax seed powder (coarse)-50gms.                                                                                      
                        1/2cup seedless dates (pitted)-80gms.                                                                                                 
                        1/4cup golden raisins-25gms.                                                                                                                          
                        1/4cup black currants-25gms                                                                                                  
                       1/2cup beet root pulp-100gms.
                       1/3cup+1tbsp.brown sugar-60gms.
                       1/3+1/4cup honey or maple syrup-140gms.

                       3tbsp. canola or any oil


 Method :                                                                                                                                                            
                 Take oats in a big bowl and add  flax seed powder , seed less dates , raisins ,currants mix well with your hands.                                                                                                                                        

Keep the mixed dry ingredients aside. Now in another bowl mix wet materials that is oil ,honey ,beet root pulp with brown sugar. Beat till well incorporated.

Now add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Knead with your hands till everything is evenly mixed.                

At this point u can add 1 or 2 tbsp. oats for good binding or colour combination.                                                 

This mixture will be very sticky. look at my hands you will get the idea. Hold some mixture in your hand and roll in to a sticky ball. If a sticky ball is formed the mixture is correct. Preheat oven at 350F/180C for 10 minutes.

Don't worry this non-sticky ,clean hand is of my daughter. Pour the granola mixture into a  8"x10" greased tray.

Even out the mixture with  a flat spoon or spatula. you can simply do it with your hand too.

When mixture is levelled put it into the preheated oven on the middle rack and bake for 15 minutes . let the tray sit in the oven for 10 minutes ( though oven is off , temperature inside is hot). After that let it cool outside for 2 minutes. Cut bars into desired shape and let it cool completely. Take out the cooled granola bars and pack in an air tight container.

So healthy , super yummy , colourful granola bars are ready . Take some photographs and munch some bars.Don't lie we all do that.

Enough, now store it in the jar.
